The historic Riddle Cabin was the birthplace of folk music legend Almeda “Granny” Riddle (1898-1986). Riddle’s vast talents were discovered during the folk music revival of the 1960’s and she became an icon of traditional ballads of the Ozarks and beyond.

The cabin was reconstructed in 2007 after careful relocation from its original site in Cleburne County. Here on the Nature Center grounds, it sits centrally near the trailhead, overlooking the serene Greers Ferry Lake shore, a destination for visitors and a rendezvous for local student groups.
